Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Elmsdale Road in Walthamstow.
A storage cupboard in a loft conversion at a two-storey terraced house was destroyed by the fire. Firefighters assisted one woman from the building. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1130 and the fire was under control by 1226. Fire crews from Walthamstow, Leyton, Tottenham and Woodford fire stations were at the scene.
The Brigade’s fire investigators believe the fire to be caused by a light bulb pushing against combustible materials in a storage cupboard.
