Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a semi-detached house on Ballards Road in Dagenham.
Part of a bedroom on the first floor was damaged by fire and a small part of the external fascia of the building was also damaged by the blaze. Two teenagers and two children left the house before the Brigade arrived and were treated on scene for smoke inhalation.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 12 calls to the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1756 and the fire was under control by 1858. Fire crews from Dagenham and Barking fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
