Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a restaurant with flats above on Abbey Road in St John’s Wood.
A small part of a communal room on the third floor was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The fire was discovered by a member of restaurant staff when they saw smoke issuing from a lavatory.
The Brigade was called at 1347 and the fire was under control by 1449. Fire crews from West Hampstead and Paddington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
