Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire disused warehouse on Macbean street in Plumstead.
A small part of the first floor, of the two-storey building, was damaged by the fire.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1450 and the fire was under control by 1615. Fire crews from East Greenwich, Eltham, Erith and Lee Green fire stations were at the scene.
