A man has sadly died at a house fire on Glenthorne Gardens in Sutton.
Firefighters found the man in a first floor bedroom and brought him out of the property. He was pronounced dead at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
Part of the first floor was damaged by the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 2027 and the fire was under control by 2141. Fire crews from Mitcham, Wimbledon and New Malden fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
