Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat on White Post Lane in Hackney Wick.
A small part of a flat on the third floor of a converted four-storey warehouse was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2010 and the fire was under control by 2129. Fire crews from Homerton, Bethnal Green and Leyton fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is believed to be the failure of a lithium polymer battery.
