Sadly a man has died following a flat fire in Brondesbury Park in Willesden.
Most of four-roomed flat on the ground floor of the building was damaged by fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a man from a ground floor flat. He was taken to hospital where he sadly later died. Crews also led a further three people to safety.
The Brigade was called at 0943 and the fire was under control by 1023. Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters from Willesden, West Hampstead, North Kensington, Park Royal and Paddington fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
