Firefighters tackled a very visible fire at a building under construction on Deacon Street in Elephant and Castle.
Part of a first-floor roof terrace was damaged by fire. One man was treated on scene.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 14 calls to the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 1144 and the fire was under control by 1214. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Lambeth, Peckham, Shadwell and Brixton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
