Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a storage building on York Way in Camden.

A campervan inside of a loading bay in a six-storey building was completely destroyed by fire and a small part of the ground floor was also damaged by the blaze. Five people left the building before the Brigade arrived, there were no reports of any injuries.

The fire was discovered by a customer who heard a bang and saw smoke coming from the engine compartment of a campervan. The Brigade's Control Officers received 10 calls about the fire.

The Brigade was called at 1510 and the fire was under control by 1604. Fire crews from Holloway, Kentish Town, West Hampstead and Euston fire stations attended the scene.

The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by an electrical fault in the campervan.
