Firefighters were called to a fire at a house converted into flats on Chester Way in Kennington.
Part of a four-roomed flat on the first floor of an end-of-terrace house was damaged by fire. Two men were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews after suffering from smoke inhalation.
The Brigade was called at 2351 and the fire was under control by 0121. Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Lambeth, Dowgate and Brixton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
