Flat fire – Uxbridge

A woman, a man and three children were rescued from a flat fire on Station Road in Uxbridge.

The lower ground floor carpark below a block of flats was destroyed by fire and smoke. A woman, two children and a baby were rescued from a first-floor window by Metropolitan Police officers before the Brigade arrived. A further man was rescued by firefighters from a first-floor window via a ladder. They were all treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews alongside another man and a baby was taken to hospital.

The fire was discovered by a member of the public who noticed thick, black smoke coming from the entrance to the carpark and called the Brigade.

The Brigade was called at 1247 and the fire was under control by 1442. Fire crews from Hayes, Heathrow and Ruislip fire stations attended the scene.

The fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
