A woman has sadly died at a house fire on St James’ Road in Sutton.
Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire.
Firefighters found an older woman on the ground floor. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A man left the property before the Brigade arrived.
The Brigade was called at 1241 and the fire was under control by 1305. Fire crews from Sutton, Wallington and New Malden fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
