Sadly, a woman has died following a fire at a house converted into flats on Bryantwood Road in Islington.
A small part of a first floor flat was damaged by fire. One woman left the building before the Brigade arrived and was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews. Another woman was taken to hospital, where she sadly later died.
The Brigade was called at 0915 and the fire was under control by 0952. Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Holloway, Islington and Stoke Newington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
