Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat on Leyton Green Road in Waltham Forest.
Firefighters tackled a fire at an 11-storey block of flats where part of a five-roomed flat on the sixth floor was damaged by the fire. Two people left the flat before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1323 and the fire was under control by 1408. Fire crews from Leyton, Leytonstone, Stratford, Woodford and Stoke Newington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
