Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a shop with offices above on Little Portland Street in Oxford Circus.

Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire. Two men left the building before the Brigade arrived. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus led three men to safety from the fourth floor. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called 1706 and the fire was under control by 1839. Fire crews from Soho, Euston, Lambeth and Paddington fire stations attended the scene.

The Brigade’s Fire Investigators believed the fire was accidental and caused by a fault in a computer printer.
