Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a house fire on Riverdale Road in Feltham.
The roof of an end-of-terrace house was destroyed by fire and most of the first floor of the building was also damaged by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
Station Officer Brennan Healey, who was at the scene, said: “As we arrived, the street was filled with smoke and firefighters got to work quickly to assess the scene and check for fire spread.
“Flames were coming out of the rear window and the roof of the building. The residents were all out of the building before the Brigade arrived.
“Crews successfully stopped the fire from spreading and damaging a neighbouring property and worked swiftly to remove roof tiles to ensure that the fire was completely out.”
The Brigade was called at 0315 and the fire was under control by 0511. Fire crews from Twickenham, Feltham and Heston fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
