Firefighters were called to a minibus that had collapsed into a sinkhole on Manchester Road in Tottenham.
Crews removed the minibus from the sinkhole using an onboard electrical winch. There were no reports of any injuries.
Station Officer Jim McPartland, who was at the scene, said: “Crews arrived to find the minibus with its wheel stuck in a sink hole in the middle of the road. The vehicle was stationary at the time when the tarmac collapsed.
“The hole was around 1.5 metres by 1.5 metres wide and was fairly deep, although the actual depth was concealed by debris that had fallen inside the hole.
“Road closures were put in place whilst we worked with our partners to make the scene safe.”
The Brigade was called at 0922 and the incident was over for firefighters by 1103. Two fire engines from Tottenham Fire Station and a fire rescue unit from Islington Fire Station attended the scene.
