Firefighters were called to flooding on High Road in Wood Green.
A water main had burst and flooded the road to around 30cm.
Firefighters assisted one woman to safety and worked to divert water away using flood barriers and pumps.
Freestanding flood barriers slot together to control fast flowing water in the area and prevent flood water spreading into nearby properties.
The Brigade was called at 0607 and the incident was over for fire crews by 1134. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Hornsey, Tottenham and Holloway fire stations were at the scene as well as specialist support vehicles.
