Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a commercial building under construction on Wardour Street in Soho.
A small part of the basement was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1842 and the fire was under control by 1952. Fire crews from Soho, Lambeth and Dowgate fire stations attended the scene.
The Brigade’s Fire Investigators believe the cause of the fire was electrical.
