Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a house fire on Conway Road in Feltham.
Half of the ground and first floors of a semi-detached house were damaged by fire and the roof of the building was destroyed. A caravan and a van were also destroyed by the blaze and part of three further vehicles and a small part of the ground and first floors of an adjacent semi-detached house were damaged by fire. Two gas cylinders were removed and cooled to an ambient temperature as some gas cylinders can explode when exposed to heat. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 24 calls to the blaze.
Station Commander Matthew Sinclair, who was at the scene, said: “On arrival crews were faced with a caravan and a van alight on the front driveway and the fire had spread to the roof of the property.
“Firefighters led three residents to safety from the rear garden via a neighbouring property, who were thankfully unhurt.
“Crews worked hard to limit the fire damage to the affected property, with minimal damage caused to the neighbouring property.”
The Brigade was called at 2234 and the fire was under control by 2359. Fire crews from Twickenham, Feltham and Heston fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
