Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a house fire on Marriott Road in Islington.
Firefighters tackled a blaze at a three-storey terraced house, where a significant part of the ground floor and part of the first floor was damaged by the fire.
Six people left the property before the Brigade arrived. One woman was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was call at 1439 and the fire was under control by 1535. Fire crews from Holloway and Stoke Newington fire stations attended the scene.
The Brigade's Fire Investigators believe the fire was accidental and involved a lithium ion battery pack associated with an electric bicycle.
