Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire in an apartment block converted from an old fire station on Tunnel Avenue in Greenwich.
A small amount of household rubbish on the fourth floor of the disused training tower was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1459 and the fire was under control by 1554. Fire crews from East Greenwich, Greenwich and Poplar fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
