Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire in a multi-storey car park on Montfichet Road in Stratford.
One car on level two of the car park and two exit barriers were destroyed by fire. The ceiling of the car park was also damaged by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2143 and the fire was under control by 2225. Fire crews from Stratford, Leyton, Homerton, Poplar, Bethnal Green and Shadwell fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
