Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Bond Road in Mitcham.
Part of the ground floor in the two storey mid terraced house was destroyed by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1058 and the incident was over by 1137. Fire crews from Mitcham, Wimbledon and Tooting fire stations were at the scene.
