Sadly, a woman has died following a fire on Leamington Avenue in Morden.
A small part of the kitchen of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire. A woman was taken to hospital by air ambulance, where she sadly later died.
The Brigade was called at 0857 and the fire was under control by 1014. Two fire engines from Wimbledon and Mitcham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
