Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters were called to a flat fire on Tunworth Crescent in Roehampton.
A small part of a five-roomed flat on the 10th floor of the building was damaged by fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus assisted four residents to safety via an internal staircase. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0422 and the fire was under control by 0535. Fire crews from Wandsworth, Richmond, Fulham, Battersea and Kingston fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
