Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire in a basement car park in Rich Mix Square, Shoreditch.
One car was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1039 and the fire was under control by 1133.
Fire crews from Shoreditch, Whitechapel, Dowgate and Shadwell stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire will be recorded as accidental, it's believed to be due to an electrical fault within the vehicle.
