Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a bin fire at a block of flats on Woodchester Square in Maida Vale.
Crews tackled a small fire in a paladin bin in an external bin store. There was smoke logging in the block of flats via the bin chute. Around 80 people left the block of flats before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2159 and the fire was under control by 2246. Fire crews from Paddington, Kensington and West Hampstead fire stations were at the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental.
