Firefighters were called to a building collapse on Stockwell Avenue in Brixton.
The parapet on the roof of two buildings converted into flats collapsed into the street below. Surrounding properties were evacuated as a precaution and a 25-metre cordon was in place. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1440 and the incident was over for firefighters by 1606. One fire engine from Clapham Fire Station, two fire rescue units from Battersea and Heston fire stations and a 32-metre turntable ladder from Old Kent Road Fire Station attended the scene.
