Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were called to a fire at a range of garden outbuildings on Park Avenue in Southall.
The outbuildings were completely destroyed by fire as well as fencing and shrubs. One 15kg cylinder was removed from the fire and cooled to an ambient temperature as a precaution, as some gas cylinders can explode when exposed to heat. There were no reports of any injuries.
A main railway line was temporally closed while crews used the rail track to fight the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1733 and was under control by 1941. Fire crews from Northolt, Twickenham, Hayes, Hammersmith, Richmond, Willesden and Hillingdon fire stations were in attendance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
