Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at an allotment on Low Hall Lane in Walthamstow.
A range of allotment outbuildings were destroyed by fire. Three gas cylinders were cooled to an ambient temperature and removed as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat. A 25-metre cordon was put in place as a precaution.
The Brigade was called at 0438 and the fire was under control by 0644. Fire crews from Walthamstow, Leyton and Tottenham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
