Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a flat fire on Frampton Park Road in Hackney.

The Brigade was called at 0902 and the fire was under control by 0937. Fire crews from Homerton, Bethnal Green, Shoreditch and Whitechapel fire stations attended the scene.

The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by the unsafe disposal of smoking materials.
