One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as an observation tower, providing crews with an aerial view of the incident.

The Brigade was called at 1207 and the fire was under control by 1440. Fire crews from Dagenham, Barking and Hainault fire stations attended the scene.
