Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire in a house in Gospatrick Road, Tottenham.
The ground floor of the house was destroyed by fire and the first floor was badly damaged. Part of the loft conversion and fascias of two neighbouring properties were also damaged. A man left building before crews arrived and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade was called at 1146 and the fire was under control by 1318.
Fire crews from Hornsey, Stoke Newington, Edmonton and Tottenham stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
