Firefighters were called to reports of smoke issuing at King's Cross Underground Station.
A small part of a lift motor room was damaged by fire. A woman was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 2215 and the fire was under control by 2254. Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Euston and Soho fire stations attended the scene.
