Firefighters were called to a building collapse on Honor Oak Park in Lewisham.
The wall at the front of the roof of a terraced building used as a shop and art studio collapsed. Firefighters carried out a full search of the building and removed loose masonry. There were no reports of any injuries.
Station Commander Dan Capon, who was at the scene, said: “Honor Oak Park was closed whilst crews made the scene safe and a 25-metre cordon was put in place as a precaution.
“One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was used as an observational tower at the scene to assess damage from above.”
The Brigade was called at 1724 and the incident was over for firefighters by 2115. Fire crews from New Cross, Greenwich, Peckham, Forest Hill and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
