Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters tackled a flat fire on Dufour’s Place in Soho.
Part of a four-roomed flat on the eighth floor of the building was damaged by fire. Firefighters led one woman to safety who was treated on scene after suffering from smoke inhalation.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 10 calls to the blaze and gave vital fire survival guidance to a woman and children inside the flat on how to stay safe before firefighters arrived.
The Brigade was called at 2335 and the fire was under control by 0124. Fire crews from Soho, Lambeth, Dowgate, Paddington and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
