Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a flat fire on Harvey Road in Whitton.
Part of a ground-floor hallway in a semi-detached house converted into flats was damaged by fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued two people from a ground-floor flat. One man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 0539 and the fire was under control by 0653. Fire crews from Heston, Twickenham and Feltham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
