Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a car storage yard on Doncaster Road in Edmonton.
A single-storey wooden office was destroyed by fire. Part of the external side and guttering of an adjacent detached house and twelve cars were also damaged by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
On arrival crews discovered a developing fire at the front of the yard in the area close to a storage shed, which rapidly spread to cars in the yard. Crews worked quickly to limit damage to neighbouring properties.
The Brigade was called at 0332 and the fire was under control by 0442. Fire crews from Edmonton, Enfield, Tottenham, Chingford and Walthamstow fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental but the exact cause has been recorded as undetermined.
