Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire on an office block balcony in Eastbourne Terrace, Paddington.
A small part of the fifth floor balcony was damaged by fire. Six people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
Fire crews from Paddington, North Kensington, Euston and Soho stations attended the scene.
The Brigade was called at 1121 and the fire was under control by 1235.
The fire is believed to have been caused by hot works.
