Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a flat fire on Poynders Gardens in Clapham.
A small part of a flat on the fourth floor of a block of flats was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1429 and the fire was under control by 1500. Fire crews from Clapham, West Norwood and Brixton fire stations were in attendance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
