Fire at disused church – Forest Gate

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a disused church on Woodgrange Road in Forest Gate.

Part of the first floor was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 1946 and the fire was under control by 2037. Fire crews from Stratford, Leytonstone, Plaistow and East Ham fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
