Firefighters rescued an injured man who was trapped on scaffolding on Aylward Road in Wimbledon.
One of the Brigade’s new 32 metre aerial appliances was used to rescue him from where he was trapped on the first floor, which was a height of 30ft. Firefighters were able to bring him down to ground level safely where he was assessed by London Ambulance Service crews and taken to hospital.
The Brigade was called at 1237 and the incident was over by 1341. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Wimbledon and New Malden fire stations attended the scene.
