Firefighters tackled a fire at a house on North Drive in Hounslow.
Part of the ground floor of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire. Two men left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
Sub Officer Jack Hayes, who was at the scene, said: “The door was shut on arrival and there was heavy smoke in the hallway.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus carried out a search of the property to ensure that no one was still inside, and crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control.”
The Brigade was called at 2128 and the fire was under control by 2210. Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Heston and Twickenham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
