Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a laundrette on Deptford High Street.
Part of the ground floor laundrette and part of the first floor of the building containing flats were damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1807 and the fire was under control by 1939. Fire crews from Deptford, Greenwich, Lewisham and Peckham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
