Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a commercial building on Dowgate Hill in the City of London.
Part of an escalator between the lower ground and the first floors of the building was damaged by fire. Four people left the building before the Brigade arrived and three were treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 1703 and the fire was under control by 1855. Fire crews from Dowgate, Whitechapel, Shoreditch, Dockhead, Lambeth and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental.
