Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a derelict house on Aveley Road in Upminster.
The outside of a derelict end of terrace house was damaged by the fire as well as the rear guttering. A pile of rubbish was destroyed by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took 14 calls to the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 1234 and the fire was under control by 1623. Fire crews from Wennington, Hornchurch and Ilford fire stations were at the scene.
