Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were called to a fire on Queen Elizabeth's Walk in Hackney.
Firefighters tackled a fire at an end of terrace two-storey house. Most of the roof was damaged by the fire. One woman left the house before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1346 and the fire was under control by 1632. Fire crews from Stoke Newington, Tottenham, Holloway, Islington and other surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have ben accidental and caused by hot works.
