Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire on York Road in Walthamstow.
A single-storey outbuilding was destroyed by the fire and the gardens of a number of properties were damaged. An outbuilding at the rear of another property was damaged, further properties suffered damage to their external fascias and a single-storey extension at the rear of another house was damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
Firefighters cooled and removed a propane cylinder that was involved in the fire as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took 27 calls to the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 1520 and the fire was under control by 1711. Fire crews from Stratford, Stoke Newington, Holloway and Homerton fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as undetermined.
