Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to a house fire on Rosaville Road in Fulham.
The first floor and roof of a mid-terraced house under renovation were destroyed by the fire and part of the ground floor was damaged. A small part of an adjoining property was also damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
Station Commander Chris Swallow, who was at the scene, said: "Firefighters found a fully developed fire on arrival and tackled the blaze in hot, challenging conditions.
"Crews worked to stop the fire spreading to adjacent properties and to bring the fire under control.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a dog from a neighbouring property, uninjured."
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took 29 calls to the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 2022 and the fire was under control by 0003 (Sunday). Fire crews from Wimbledon, Brixton, Park Royal, Peckham, Wandsworth and surrounding fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
